Piedmont Library and Cultural Events Society (PLACES)
PLACES is an independed non-profit volunteer organization working to promote library membership; to stimulate use of the library facilities, resources, and services; and to further the educational and information needs of the community through its support of the library.
Our Purpose

​Promote reading, educational, and cultural opportunities available to Piedmont citizens

Work in cooperation with the librarian and the Library Board in support of the library

Act as a liaison between the the community and the library

Increase public awareness and stimulate the use of library resources

Secure materials that enhance the library but are beyond the scope of the ordinary library budget

Continue the growth of PLACES by cultivating an active membership

PLACES Membership
As a PLACES member, you will be among the first to know of opportunities supported by the organization. Your membership fee helps to support library initiatives, and your volunteer work helps to provide the manpower necessary to implement library programs.
